cablate/ctx-handoff-mod is a mode dedicated to Claude Code. Its goal is to hand off work to a new conversation when context runs short (hand off), and to organize what the user taught it into project notes. The latest commit 328664e (2026-10-30, 04:54 UTC) is a refactoring that shortens the reminder text attached to Claude when the answer differs from the designated language. Code, commands, paths, and proper nouns are left exactly as in the original, and the condition that content in another language, such as a translation the user asked for, is to be written as originally requested is kept intact.
The only point of change is the reminderText() function in hooks/lang.ts. All four languages (zh-TW, zh-CN, en, ja) drop the opening part that pointed out that 'the previous explanation was not in that language', keeping only the request to 'explain in that language', the condition of preserving code and proper nouns, and the exception that other-language requests stay as they are. The English instruction, which used to begin with 'Your last explanation was not in English', was reduced to one line: 'Please explain in English (keep code and proper nouns as is; content the user asked for in another language stays).' In hooks/reply-lang.test.ts only the expected strings were updated to match the changed phrasing, and the existing rule that the reminder is attached once and is not attached again for a continuing stretch of non-compliance was left untouched. The overall change was 2 files, 8 insertions and 8 deletions.
What this commit touched is only the phrasing; there are no new features or settings. Therefore the mode body itself, 'context hand-off' and 'note organizing', is not something to be evaluated with this patch. It is true, however, that the English instruction now omits commands and paths and mentions only code and proper nouns. Whether the model switches language at the same level with the shortened instruction is not something the repository's own tests can answer, as they check only string equality, and there is no independent evaluation. There is likewise no record here of a release tag corresponding to this commit, of the repository license, or of the number of stars.
