GitHub description: Work with AI coding agents on long projects: rules, decisions and plans live as plain Markdown in your repo, so Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI or Cursor picks up where the last session stopped. Optional: hand subtasks to other agent CLIs with a full record, a snapshot to roll back to and a verdict on each; search past conversations.

wingsofsky/openagents is a TypeScript tool that keeps the rules, decisions, and plans of long-running projects as Markdown documents inside a repository, so that coding agents can pick up where earlier work left off. Tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, and Cursor can reference the context of the same repository. There is no public latest release. This introduction is based on the repository description and README of wingsofsky/openagents.

Leaving project context in files makes it possible to consult rules and decisions again even when the agent or the working environment changes. The README describes four modules — context, session, delegation, and folder work — and states that you can install only the modules you need. The delegation module hands subtasks to another agent CLI while preserving the task description, conversation log, and changes. It takes a snapshot for recovery before execution and does not accept changes until the results have been reviewed and judged. The session module stores conversations from several coding tools as searchable documents.

The characteristic of this repository lies in its composition: it manages the context of long-running work through documents and session records, and adds delegation to existing agent tools. However, it is strongly oriented toward assembling components, and FACTS presents no performance measurements or adoption cases. The per-module code and test structure can be confirmed, but this information alone makes it difficult to judge the real-world effect in an actual project or the pace of maintenance.
