evener is a coding agent that, when given a prompt, reads and writes files, executes commands, and searches code, cycling through this until the task is finished. A GitHub commit c67e7d6 on November 7, 2026 (https://github.com/prime-radiant-inc/evener/commit/c67e7d6d7463144359654e2b2540e07b2ee5e16f) added to this project's mobile native app the feature of supporting both the external and the internal screen of the two-screen iPhone Duo. The external screen shows only Board, the session list screen, while on the internal screen a conversation pane is docked side by side next to Board.
This split is determined by the size of the window, not by the device name. If both sides are 600 points or more, it is treated as the internal screen; the Duo external screen is 466×678 points and the internal screen is 669×951 points. Board keeps focus and carries on with its search, scroll, and real-time refresh state, while the conversation pane on the right is handled by a nested navigator that takes care of the conversation title, the back button, and the session menu. Conversations opened from Board open in the split view, while conversations opened via root paths such as share or notifications still open full screen. The change amounts to 643 added lines and 27 deleted lines across 19 files, with duoLayout, DuoSplit, and navigationRoutes newly introduced, and the Board screen and swipe gestures fixed along the way.
That said, the app is not drawn on both screens at the same time, nor does it lay out around the region reserved by the hinge in the folded posture. The split is confined to view state, so folding and unfolding does not lose an in-progress draft, a pending send, or the position you were reading at. The design document states that the app is fixed to portrait and that landscape is postponed until safe-area handling is complete, and iPad support remains on hold. Verification is carried out on an iPhone Duo device-type simulator on the iOS 27.1 runtime; the Xcode 26 build cannot extend the screen to include the status bar and camera area, so that layout is left to the Xcode 27 build. View state handling is in place, but actual device support and screen quality appear to be a step left for the build tooling.
