ienapliss/markov is a project that implements an LLM harness and a coding agent in a single Bash script. The repository description says it packs a general-purpose harness and a coding agent into one script that is easy to fix. v0.4.1 was released on November 1, 2026, and the change in this commit, 9dfab20, is a single item: the handling of OAuth 2 access tokens for MCP connections.
MCP is a connection protocol that attaches external tools to a model, and RFC 6750 is the document that, as the Bearer token usage specification, defines the set of characters that may be used in access tokens. v0.4.1 was modified so that OAuth 2 access tokens for MCP are accepted even when they contain characters that this specification does not permit. It appears to target the situation where tokens were rejected in environments using an authentication server that issues tokens outside the specification. The way of deployment is simple. The MA_VERSION value in markov.sh was raised from 0.4.0 to 0.4.1, and one line was added under Fixed in the [0.4.1] - 2026-11-01 entry of CHANGELOG.md. The overall change is 2 files, 7 lines (6 insertions, 1 deletion), and the header of markov.sh states that it is MIT licensed.
However, what can be confirmed from this commit is only one line of release notes and a change to a version constant. There is no comparative material on record, such as performance figures or token processing speed. The immediately preceding release, 0.4.0, was also deployed on November 1, 2026, so this is closer to an acceptance fix for a specific authentication server environment than to a feature addition. If you have already integrated MCP, it would be worth checking the character rules for your tokens, but as for any other changes, it is too early to judge from this commit alone.
