One GitHub Actions workflow was added to tc3oliver/laya-apple. The October 20, 2026 commit (5577847, PR #179) invokes the Jules agent whenever the CI and Integration (MLX) workflows end in failure, so that it can analyze the cause and create a fix PR. The added file is .github/workflows/jules-ci-autofix.yml at 137 lines, with no code deleted, and the original commit is at https://github.com/tc3oliver/laya-apple/commit/55778476764644520ec64320ff15b88c05938839.
The trigger is narrowly scoped. It acts only when pushed to the main branch or executed via workflow_dispatch, and only when the result is success or failure; PR runs, fork runs, tag builds, and the Release workflow are out of scope. Permissions are limited to reading repository contents and writing issues, the Jules action is pinned to the v1.0.0 commit (bff7875), and each failure leaves behind one labeled issue to prevent duplicate invocations, with that issue automatically closed when the same workflow succeeds.
The prompt also spells out safeguards. It knows that this repository is a heterogeneous computing runtime for Apple Silicon that uses the MLX GPU and the Apple Neural Engine together, and that CI runs on macOS, while Jules may run on Linux and therefore may not be able to reproduce Metal or ANE tests. Therefore it instructs to maintain MLX/Metal coverage and model integrity checks, not to touch the Release workflow or PyPI publishing, not to make changes that cannot be verified and to report only the evidence, and not to push to main or merge PRs.
That said, this path is still off. The commit message states that the Jules invocation will not run until the repository's JULES_API_KEY Actions secret is configured and repository access permissions are granted. In the current state, CI failures must still be looked at manually, and any resulting fix PR must go through human review; PR #179 itself did not modify the CI tests or the publishing jobs.
