penso/herdr-gpui is a native client for the Herdr daemon for macOS, Linux, and Windows. The latest release shown in the repository is v20261028.1. It is built with Rust and GPUI, and it manages terminal sessions and workspaces, Git worktrees, and agent activity through a locally installed daemon. The provided materials contain no changelog for this version, so what changed in this release cannot be confirmed.

This client does not launch a separate terminal emulator or wrap a TUI; it draws the terminal cells and split panes sent by the daemon directly with GPUI. It also has a Teleport feature for moving worktree changes, running processes, agent sessions, and the like to another host. It also provides the ability to leave line-by-line comments while reviewing changes, and to send a single comment on an element of a browser screen to an agent. The license is Apache-2.0.

This setup is close to an alternative UI for managing coding agent work together with terminal sessions. It reads and displays CPU and memory information from multiple hosts over SSH and also provides a plan usage panel, but the materials contain no performance measurements. So while the feature scope can be confirmed, there is not enough basis to judge actual performance or whether v20261028.1 brought any improvements.
