brunoborges/ghx is a daemon that caches gh CLI API responses to avoid rate limits, describing itself as the GitHub CLI Cache Proxy. The commit fc6cc3a, pushed on November 4, 2026, is work addressing the failure of this repository's GitHub Actions lint job. It corresponds to pull request #37, and the commit title still carries a [WIP] marker.
The center of this change is fixing the calls in the Go code that had been ignoring return values so that they are checked one by one. os.Stdout.Write, the conn.Close passed via defer, json.Unmarshal, fmt.Fprintf, cmd.Process.Kill, and os.RemoveAll calls all came to have error handling, and the daemonReady function, which checks daemon readiness, uses named return values and errors.Join to return the connection-close error together with the readiness-check failure. Files in the CLI, daemon, client, dashboard, and ghcli modules were modified together, with 464 lines added and 157 lines deleted. The commit record retains a note that it adopted an incremental baseline strategy of linting only newly introduced issues, as well as the fact that the copilot-swe-agent bot was listed as a co-author.
That said, this commit is not a change that adds functionality but cleanup work touching error handling and CI. Because the lint scope was limited to newly added issues, there is the possibility that violations that had been lingering since before remain as they are, and the [WIP] marker in the title also means the work is still in progress. From the user's perspective, the change is that when output or parsing fails, it no longer passes silently but now exits with exit code 1 along with a message such as ghx: writing stdout. No release tag or version number is attached to this commit.
