pro-vi/cc-stretch released v0.5.2 on October 20, 2026. This repository keeps Claude Code responses short and makes the collapsed portion expand in place when you click a passage. This release also displays the leading text as a link, so that expanded links at the end of a sentence are easier to click in the full terminal screen.

The same release also worked on the guidance for the next prompt. It shows links inside the guidance text distinctly from the other text and lists closed links in one place. Drag-to-select and double-click behavior were improved as well. It is a way to read only the sentences you need without long explanations covering the screen. The changes and the release date are recorded in the GitHub release notes for pro-vi/cc-stretch v0.5.2 (https://github.com/pro-vi/cc-stretch/releases/tag/v0.5.2). The confirmed star count is 401.

However, the confirmed materials contain no performance measurements and no comparison with other tools. No license is listed either. This change is limited to link display in the full terminal screen, the guidance for the next prompt, and selection behavior. It is hard to judge from this material alone how far the range displayed as a link has widened, now that even the leading text is shown as a link. For people who want to skim Claude Code responses briefly in the terminal, it is a usable improvement as-is, and other uses are worth watching.
