tangency-labs/solidcraft v0.16.0 is the new SolidCraft release published on GitHub. SolidCraft is an open-source parametric 3D CAD application written in pure Rust, usable on desktop and the web, and it also supports automation through MCP. This release updates the interface language, agent chat, and sketch and boundary surface generation features.
Italian and Polish were added as new interface languages. The agent chat window can be detached and used on its own, and docked back into the app, and files and drawings can be attached to messages. Sketching gained live previews for corner fillets and inclined lines, and in sketches you can check the result of both features while working. Boundary surface generation now supports curve nets as well as groups of three or four curves. The user color theme can be set from a theme file, and design file format 27 has been introduced.
The release notes present no performance measurements, so it is not possible to judge whether speed or accuracy improved. Also, users coming from 0.14.0 or earlier cannot confirm inside the app that the repository has moved, so they have to download it directly. The changes that can be confirmed in this version are therefore limited to the stated features and file format updates, and the download guidance matters to users on earlier versions.
