abacusai/simless v0.5.1 is a maintenance release of a tool that lets you inspect SwiftUI screens as an accessibility tree without the iOS simulator. According to the repository description, an AI coding agent can look at screens in a structured form and hot reload views in about two seconds. This release fixes the host crash and the failure to load the app-hosted test bundle that occurred with Xcode 27.1 on macOS 27.

The first problem stemmed from the runtime returning an immutable copy when it replaced the infoDictionary. While Metal was looking for plugins, Foundation tried to write to that dictionary and the host terminated right after startup. Now, if the ID does not change, the bundle's dictionary is used, and if it does change, a mutable copy is passed. The test bundle links libXCTestSwiftSupport and _Testing_Foundation, but xcodebuild could not open the app sandbox, so it failed to load. The release fixes this by following the symbolic link and placing a copy in the slot's Frameworks folder.

The confirmed scope of the fix is the two problems listed in the release notes. The notes cover the crash with Xcode 27.1 on macOS 27 and the test bundle loading failure, but give no compatibility results for other environments and no performance comparison. So it is more accurate to view v0.5.1 as a maintenance update that corrects errors on that execution path.
